Today is World Sight Day 2014, a global day of raising awareness of avoidable blindness and rehabilitation.
Help us to celebrate by raising awareness of how important it is to catch and treat children’s vision issues early. The unfortunate reality is that many children who should be wearing glasses or contacts do not have them. Untreated vision issues can lead to lifetime struggles with academics and reading, and even blindness. We who have children in glasses or eye patches or contacts can be ambassadors who help to raise awareness about children’s vision – it’s one of the missions of the Great Glasses Play Day, after all.
